Northern Pines Farm provides an equestrian experience for all levels of riders from beginner to grand prix. Accomplished trainer, Melissa Hirt, has been in the business for over 30 years, bringing riders up the ranks to National championships. The farm shows at Premier National horse shows across the country including Wellington, Florida and Traverse City, Michigan.
Northern Pines Farm also has a riding school for educating riders just starting out. Weekly lessons and other learning opportunities are provided for the ultimate experience with horses. The teaching staff is always experienced and skilled with safety as the priority.

Our Accomplishments
Northern Pines Farm riders have earned top ribbons and championships at the most prestigious horse shows in the country such as Devon, The Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF), The National Horse Show, The Pennsylvania National Horse Show, and the Washington International Horse Show. Their laurels include winning the Ronnie R.W. Mutch Equitation Championship at the 2019 Devon Horse Show and the reserve championship in the High Junior Jumpers, 2018 winners of the North American League Equitation Finals-Midwest, 3rd place finish in the ASPCA Maclay Medal Finals 2018, numerous championships at WEF in equitation, young hunters, junior hunters and all levels of the jumpers.
Our Method
The farm offers lessons, camps and clinics, which are frequently scheduled to enhance the learning experience for riders in the saddle and on the ground. The dedicated staff ensures horses receive quality care both on the road and at home. Hirt also raises quality young horses and offers superb hunters and jumpers for sale or for lease.
